Project Experience

Ed Research Group has conducted research projects for local, state, and federal agencies, as well as for non-profit organizations.
Examples of projects conducted by Ed Research Group include:
- Conducted impartial evaluations of the effectiveness of Pasadena Unified School District’s two Teaching American History (TAH) projects and Montebello Unified School District’s Teaching American History project, which are K-12 professional development programs designed to improve American history teachers’ content knowledge as well as their students’ achievement in U.S. history. Each of these three-year federally funded TAH program evaluations were experimental research studies that used random assignment.
- Designed evaluation plans for five Teaching American History Project grant proposals, an Advanced Placement Incentive Program grant proposal, and a Dual Enrollment Program.
- Completed a principal leadership policy study in San Francisco in collaboration with American Institutes for Research (AIR) for the Thomas B. Fordham Institute.
- Conducted a policy study, using case study research methods, of the Immediate Intervention/Underperforming Schools Program (II/USP) of the California Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999 in collaboration with American Institutes for Research (AIR) and Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE).
